AROMATHERAPY

Aromatheraphy is more than just a popular new trend. The ancient art of herbal healing and aromatherapy has been recognized for more than 6000 years, for their healing, cleaning and mood-enhancing properties. In ancient Egypt, Greece, Rome, China, and India aromatic plants have been used as a medicine for thousands of years. The Chinese were one of the first to discover the medical powers of plants in 4500 BC and still practice their beliefs today.

In Europe, clinical studies have shown the use of essential oils ( derived from aromatic plants ) have a range of pharmaceutical properties. In France aromatherapy is taught in medical schools and in the United States some licensed professionals such as Massage and Physical Therapists often practice Aromatherapy. However, in the United States it is most often self-taught and self-administered.
