Okay, What are you mixing with and what are you mixing for , eye shadow, face powder, blush, lips ? Try these combinations: Light brown / titanium dioxide , iron oxide ocher, iron oxide brown and iron oxide red. ( Blend in mortor ) Idea mixture for eye shadow or face powder. You can also add a little mica to add some shine or sparkle. Here is some for micas: Blue / purple - Light blue mica 25% Purple mica 17% Off-white mica 10% Reddish / copper - Red mica 10% Golden mica 10- 15% RED Lip Color: D&C Red 7 or D&C Red 27 - 10% Golden Mica 4% Hope this helps: Once you get the hang of it you will be able to mix more colors than you will know what to do with :)If you need addition help feel free to e-mail me at herbalelegance

I hear a lot of people use all kinds of different ingredients as a base when mixing pigments for makeup. I been told to use , corn starch, arrowroots, zinc oxide, magnesium stearate and / or titanium dioxide. Which one is the best base to use?

How do I make my own mineral cosmetics? I really like the look of them, but most that are sold are either very expensive or they aren't micronized well enough and they clump.
